Students must have a completed Permission Slip to Participate in Afterschool Athletics (Permiso para participar en actividades deportivas después de la escuela) on file with the coaches before or on their first day of practice.

Special Guidelines for Specific Sports

Tie-breakers for volleyball. basketball, and soccer:

  • Head to head
  • 2-way tie for 4th seeds = 1 game playoff
  • 3-way tie for 3rd seeds = lottery (see order of elimination
  • 3-way tie for 4th seeds = format will go to top 6 teams with #1 and #2 seeds getting bye's.  #6 plays at #3, and #5 plays at #4 (games played on Monday); winners will play #1 & #2 seeds - schedule will depend on the outcome from Monday's games.

Expanding the Sports Program

Any students or parents who would like to express interest in adding or expanding sport teams at Peterson may complete this inquiry form. The form will be submitted to SCUSD's Title IX Compliance Officer.

Complaints

Requesting a New Sport

If you would like to request the addition of a sport team (e.g., archery) OR of a sport team level at your school site, please complete this form for review by your school site principal and the District Title IX Coordinator. The principal will respond within thirty (30) days of receipt of this request, letting you know the decision, or when a decision can be expected.
